Project Linus is a 100% volunteer non-profit organization
that gives blankets and quilts to seriously ill or traumatized children.
Our Mission is to
provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill,
traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of NEW HOMEMADE WASHABLE blankets and
lovingly created by volunteer blanketeers.
The Nashville
Chapter began in October 2001. Kit Rosskamp from Hartsville, TN was appointed Coordinator.
We held our fist "Blanket Day" on March 16, 2002 in Lebanon, TN at the Faith
Evangelical Lutheran Church. Several "blanketeers" were recruited that day
through newspaper articles and television coverage. The Chapter was on it's way.

Blanket Day
Saturday, 4/26 from 9-2 pm.
It will be held at
Faith Lutheran Church in Lebanon,
TN
(1655 West Main Street)
Come work with other blanketeers and make
blankets for children. Bring
your sewing machines and/or projects.
Materials will also be available to start
new project. Come for just a couple of hours or
bring your lunch and stay all day.
Our Chapter has also decided to start collecting
needed items for a non-profit organization in
the area where the blanket day is held.
Since we are here in Lebanon, we have
decided to help the Brook’s House, “A Home for
the Hopeful” “A Hand up, not a Hand out”. If
you would like more information on the Brook's
House, please go to
www.brookshouse.org.
Item we are collecting:
laundry supplies (detergent, fabric softener,
color-safe bleach),
paper
goods (cups, plates, bowls, napkins),
plastic
clothes hangers,
twin
& full sheet sets, and
gas
gift cards.
If you can help donate any of the items above
for Brook’s House, please drop them off to the
church on Saturday or leave them in the church
office by April 30th. The church office is open
Tuesdays through Friday from 9:30 to 1:30 pm.

Since the chapter
began we have delivered over 4036
blankets to traumatized children within our "borders". Sadly, more blankets are
needed because there will always be children in need.
